Tournament Guidelines:
The tournament is open to all chess players with or without title and rated or unrated in good standing of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
• The tournament shall be divided in to three divisions:
Class – A: Open –regardless of age and ratings
Class - B: 1900 & Below (NCFP Ratings as of September 2014)
Class – C: 12 years old and below (individual with team awards)
• The New FIDE Laws of Chess, particularly the Laws on Rapid Chess, shall govern the tournament. (ground rules will be posted onsite)
• The tournament format shall be seven or more rounds Swiss System, depending on the number of participants.
• The time control shall be twenty (30) minutes with 5 seconds increment (fischer MODE)
• Tournament shall be sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines and to be rated by NCFP.
