Tournament Rules and Regulations:
a) 2050 & Below Division – This is open to all non-titled, unrated or rated 2050 & below (January 1, 2014 NCFP Ratings) chess players, regardless of age, gender and nationality. Titled women players as well as elementary and high school students who are presently enrolled (regardless of ratings) can also join this division.
b) Kiddies Division – Regardless of ratings, participating boys must be born on or after January 1, 2000 while girls must be born on or after January 1, 1999.
• Rate of play: 20 minutes with five seconds increment (Bronstein Time Delay) per player using the digital clocks and 25 minutes per player using the analog or mechanical clocks.
• Mode of play: Swiss system, minimum of seven rounds. Additional rounds if needed depending on the number of participants.(Please refer to the ground rules)
• The FIDE Laws of Chess, particularly the Laws on Rapid Chess, shall govern the tournament. (Ground rules will be posted on-site)

A) 2050 & BELOW NCFP RATING AS OF JAN. 1, 2014 :
Champion – P5,000 + trophy
2nd place – P3,000 + medal
3rd place – P2,000 + medal
4th place – P1,500
5th place – P1,000
6th to 10th place – P500 each
B) KIDDIES DIVISION :
Champion – P2,500 + trophy
2nd place – P1,500 + medal
3rd place – P1,000 + medal
4th place – P700
5th place – P500
6th to 10th place – chess pcs.+ medal + souvenir mug each
11th to 15th place – souvenir mug each

• Participants must bring any document/I.D. showing proof of age (e.g. NSO-certified/authenticated birth certificate or government-issued I.D.)

• On-site registration starts at 8:30 a.m.
• Maximum of 230 participants on a first-come, first- served basis only.
• Registration fees:
Kiddies, Untitled Ladies, Senior Citizens and PWD players : P300.00 inclusive of food stub worth P100.00
2050 & below players/titled women players : P350.00 inclusive of food stub worth P100.00
Note: All food stubs are CONSUMABLE within the Alphaland Food Court (3rd Floor) on tournament date only.
The 1st Round for all divisions shall be played and concluded before lunch break.
